AGE’s mission is to empower caregivers, the elderly and their families through education, advocacy, resources and support. AGE has provided multiple direct and supportive services for services for the elderly and adults with disabilities in the greater Austin area since 1986 through four program areas: - Elderhaven Adult Day Care Centers provide an alternative to early nursing home placement; (2 sites)
- Caregiver Resource Center supplies information, consultation and care planning advice, loans of durable medical equipment and education to caregivers, the elderly and their families;
- SeniorNet Computer Learning Institute offers hands-on technology educational classes in a state-of-the-art training facility; and
- Resident management of the AGE building to assist emerging non-profit; organizations with affordable office space and shared meeting rooms and office equipment.
